Internship with Hitachi Rail

In the summer of 2025 I had an incredible opportunity to intern with Hitachi Rail as a manufacturer planner. Hitachi Rail is a global company in the railway manufacturing industry, with offices and customers from all over the world.
​
During my internship I focused on two major projects alongside helping the fellow planners with everyday work. The two major projects were:

Completing my six sigma green belt certification alongside with the green belt project that comes along with it. Our project was to improve the sub-contract work order process, especially the APHS work orders.

Getting and updating around 5000 lead times on parts that we purchase from vendors.
